If you want to spot sharks real close at Cape de Verde islands, Rifes da Parda or Baia da Parda is the place to go. Baia da Parda is located in the east of Sal, Cape de Verde islands. Get here by quad, moped or motorcycle from the main road to Pedra Lume, just turn right before Pedra Lume and follow the coast. The “road” is basically sand & gravel, drive carefully.

The sharks at Rifes da Parda / Baia da Parda are known for getting very close to land, just follow the coast down south. You can actually see them from shore at a distance of only 3 meters from land! A true experience of the wildlife, close encounters with sharks and nature of Sal, and the Cape Verde islands.
